Call for papers: Vol. 2— Climate, Education, and Just Transitions
AJESI invites submissions for a forthcoming special issue exploring the intersections of climate change, educational policy, and equitable transitions across African contexts. Manuscripts may be empirical, conceptual, or methodological. Submission deadline: 31 March 2027. Research articles (6,000–8,000 words); shorter formats welcome. Contact: editorial@ajesi.org. Call for peer reviewers
AJESI is building a diverse pool of reviewers across education, skills development and innovation studies. Reviewers are asked to complete a structured report within three weeks of accepting an invitation, and are normally invited to review no more than three manuscripts a year. Reviews are double-blind. Contributions are formally acknowledged in the journal's annual reviewer listing, and active reviewers are considered first when editorial vacancies arise. **How to join** Create an account on the journal platform, complete your profile with your affiliation, ORCID and areas of expertise, and email editorial@ajesi.org to request addition to the reviewer pool.
Call for editors and editorial board members
AJESI invites expressions of interest from scholars and practitioners who wish to join the journal's editorial leadership. **Roles open** - Senior editors - Associate editors - Sectional editors (TVET and skills; higher education; innovation and technology; policy and governance) - Editorial board members **What the roles involve** Editors handle manuscripts within their area of expertise, identify and invite suitable reviewers, and make evidence-based recommendations to the editor-in-chief. Editorial board members advise on journal strategy, scope and standards, and help to promote the journal within their networks. All roles are voluntary and are normally held for a renewable two-year term. **Who should apply** Applicants should hold a doctorate or equivalent professional standing, have a record of publication or practice in a relevant field, and be able to commit a few hours each month. We particularly encourage applications from scholars based in Africa and the wider Global South, and from early-career researchers. **How to express interest** Send a short statement of interest (maximum one page) together with a curriculum vitae to editorial@ajesi.org, indicating the role and subject area of interest. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
