Our commitment

AJESI aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We design with semantic HTML, keyboard navigability, sufficient colour contrast, descriptive alt text, and focus-visible states throughout.

Article galleys

Published articles are issued as structured HTML alongside PDF galleys. The HTML version is the canonical accessible format — it supports screen readers, text reflow, and adjustable typography.

Known limitations

Some legacy PDF galleys and embedded figures may not yet be fully tagged for assistive technology. We are progressively improving these materials and welcome reports of specific articles that present barriers.

Reporting an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please write to editor@ajesi.org with the page URL and a short description. We aim to acknowledge reports within five working days.
